About the Role

Concord Centre for Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers by providing quality healthcare, delivery of safe appropriate care, ensuring access to services, supporting our workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage the changing demand for services.

  

The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) is a ward/unit-based role that supports nurses, midwives, medical, and allied health staff, with shifts based on local service needs. The CSO may work across multiple wards or units and will collaborate with existing administrative staff.

 

The role provides timely, accurate administrative support under the supervision of the Nursing Unit Manager and professional liaison direction from the Health Information Manager, Mental Health Services, complementing existing systems and processes. While working under broad supervision, the CSO may take independent action within established procedures.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.

  • Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
