The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist with a passion for patient-centred care and service improvement, to join the Sutherland Transitional Aged Care Service (STACS) at The Sutherland Hospital. STACS provides short-term, goal-directed, home-based interventions (up to 12 weeks) for older persons who have the capacity to benefit from a package of services that include low intensity therapy, social work, nursing support, and personal care. The service aims to assist older persons to complete their recovery, optimise their functional capacity and, if required, assistance making long-term care arrangements.
This position involves visiting clients at their home (drivers licence required) and may involve being on call on occasional weekends (no call backs).

Where you'll be working
You will be working at The Sutherland Hospital and Community Health Service, a major metropolitan and teaching hospital located in the Sutherland Shire, approximately half an hour drive south of Sydney, in the suburb of Caringbah. The Sutherland Hospital provides a range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
What you'll be doing
Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality Physiotherapy care to patients/clients of The Sutherland Hospital consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria:
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia; and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
- Demonstrated core competency skills in Physiotherapy
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience
- Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
- Demonstrated participation or leadership in quality improvement processes and teaching, commensurate with years of experience
- Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively
- Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
