This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic recovery focused team as a senior clinician. The senior Occupational Therapist role will provide leadership and guidance to the team as well as providing a high level interventions for our clients. The position will also participate in and guide the organisation in how best to deliver Occupational and Diversional interventions within a contemporaneous model of integrated care between the inpatient and community services.

Where you'll be working

The position is based in the St George Mental Health Centre where the acute inpatient unit is located. The entire Allied Health team share a workspace which allows for them to closely interact and deliver a team approached care to each individual client.

Selection Criteria

  1. Must hold general registration with and qualifications recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or ability to be registered at time of commencement.
  2. Extensive post graduate clinical experience in Mental Health Occupational Therapy
  3. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively with all stakeholders.
  4. Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery.
  5. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills.
  6. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives
  7. Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation and recovery focus
  8. Current New South Wales driver's licence.
