About the opportunity
Bring your revenue administration expertise to a purpose-driven organisation where precision and integrity matter. NSW Health Pathology is seeking skilled Revenue Administration Officers to support the delivery of vital health services through accurate and compliant financial and administrative processes. We are currently recruiting multiple permanent full-time positions based at the John Hunter Hospital, while also establishing an eligibility list for future permanent full time / part time, temporary and casual opportunities. In this role, you will manage billing, liaise with key stakeholders such as Medicare and health funds, and ensure financial transactions are processed in accordance with legislative, statutory, and NSW Health requirements. Your work will directly support the organisation’s ability to deliver quality pathology services to the community. This is an opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic and collaborative team environment, where your attention to detail, customer service mindset, and ability to navigate multiple billing systems will be highly valued. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, resolving complex revenue-related issues, and improving administrative practices that ensure the financial health of NSW Health Pathology.

What you'll be doing

- Demonstrated knowledge and use of billing systems as well as the ability to analyses and report on findings
- Proven knowledge and experience with regards to interpreting applicable policies and legislation pertaining to billing requirements in an accounts related/revenue setting
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare a range of documents and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Developed analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to plan, priorities and organise own work taking into consideration the impact on others to achieve results and meet key performance indicators
- Demonstrated experience working within an environment requiring sensitivity and consideration in relation to confidentiality and privacy
