  1. Minimum qualification of Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with subjects relevant to Anatomical Pathology
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a diagnostic Anatomical Pathology laboratory, including performing routine bench work, handling precious irreplaceable tissue samples and complying with departmental procedures
  3. Demonstrable understanding of the importance of specimen tracking and consent requirements in the context of the role
  4. Demonstrated ability to work in a team and autonomously to deliver services within clinically appropriate timeframes
  5. Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage time and competing priorities
  6. Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven effective oral and written English communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  7. Strong attention to detail with demonstrable trouble shooting skills
  8. Proven computer literacy skills in laboratory information systems, Windows and the Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel
