About the Opportunity

At NSW Health Pathology, we are creating better health and justice systems.
We are looking for two temporary Software Developers to manage backend-systems integration and interoperability within the Fusion Program. In this role, you'll work across software development, cloud infrastructure, and data management, playing a crucial part in building scalable, high-performing applications. You'll work within a DevSecOps environment, leveraging automation and best practices to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable solutions. With a strong emphasis on behaviour-driven development, test automation, and continuous integration, you'll help shape the future of healthcare technology by delivering cutting-edge digital tools that enhance diagnostics and reporting.

We are currently undertaking our largest digital health transformation initiative to date, which will improve the way we provide patient care, as well as how we provide forensic and analytical science services to help solve crimes.Your expertise in software development, cloud platforms, and data analytics will be key in driving business intelligence and operational excellence. What you'll be doing

Responsible for a diverse range of functions in support of the delivery of NSW Health Pathology solutions including: 

  • Provide software development and support activities associated with digital solutions
  • Configuration and operation of cloud and managed infrastructure, platforms and software
  • Development and maintenance of data management and analytical solutions to manage reporting, dashboarding and diagnostics.

  1. Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated work experience relevant to the role, along with a commitment and passion to ongoing professional development.
  2. Practical experience with cloud solutions, API based integration and system communications.

     

  3. High level development skills including data visualisation skills, TypeScript, NodeJS and Java software development along with demonstratable  experience utilising relevant testing frameworks applicable for each technology.

     

  4. Demonstrated experience in data analysis, mapping and migration.
  5. Customer focused approach displaying high level communication, liaison and negotiation skills, along with proven ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, to achieve best outcome for the organisation.
  6. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in the delivery of results and quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  7. Ability to be flexible and participate in on call roster as required.
