  1. Relevant quality improvement qualifications or equivalent work experience preferably in a clinical research environment together with project management skills and/or demonstrated relevant post graduate experience.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of the concepts and processes of the accreditation/certification cycle as well as demonstrated knowledge and experience preparing for, achieving and maintaining accreditation/certification, preferably in a relevant research laboratory setting.
  3. Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of methodologies to conduct, implement, monitor and evaluate a quality improvement program.
  4. Demonstrated experience in preparing for, conducting and managing audits, conducting root cause analysis and managing the effectiveness or corrective/preventative measures.
  5. Demonstrated experience in the implementation and management of quality systems and programs.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated experience in managing incident investigations, conducting incident reviews and managing challenging issues such as non-compliance.
  7. Advanced experience with use of Laboratory Information Systems, Quality Control Systems and computer programs such as Microsoft Office suite and Access.
  8. Excellent oral and written communication skills, organisational and relationship management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups as demonstrated by extensive experience writing manuscripts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and procedures and communicating them to stakeholders.
