About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join NSW Health Pathology's Clinical IT Operations Team. We are recruiting a full time, temporary (2 year contract) Administrative and Project Support Officer. The appointee will be well trained and supported to be successful in the role. This position represents a wonderful professional development opportunity.
We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. We encourage our staff to be involved in research and innovation opportunities to help create safer, healthier communities. Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems.

What you'll be doing

- Demonstrated experience in providing executive administrative support, including the capacity to operate effectively with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgement, discretion and initiative and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to effectively develop and implement administrative systems and processes to support the smooth functioning of a team including demonstrated knowledge of invoicing, procurement and contract management requirements
- High level written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with staff and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and ability to respond, adapt and cope with changing priorities.
- Highly developed skills in using PC based software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook), SharePoint and network operations and electronic systems to complete work activities.
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of project management documentation, reports and briefings.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision high level secretariat support to project meetings and committees, including preparation and appropriate distribution of documents such as agendas, minutes and supporting documents.
