About the opportunity
NSW Health Pathology are currently seeking a motivated Administration Officer to join our team on a temporary full time basis within the Microbiology Department at Concord Hospital. Be part of a high-energy, fast-paced Microbiology laboratory where you'll play a key role in performing both clinical and administrative operations duties including routine office tasks, billing, data entry, appointment scheduling and laboratory specimen reception.
All applicants must be available to work across the department's standard hours between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.

What you'll be doing

- Proven computer literacy and strong keyboard skills with speed and accuracy, including use of digital transcription equipment.
- Proven experience working in a high workload and pressure area with successful track records to provide best performance as well as knowledge of clinical and corporate applications and work practices, and their relationship to other health care processes. If you have any administrative experience in a laboratory environment please include in your answer.
- Demonstrated ability and initiative to work both as part of a team and independently, supporting your team members and management, with sound knowledge of administrative procedures in health setting.
- Demonstrated strong customer focus and commitment to providing exceptional services to all clients (internal and external to the organistion).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong written and verbal English and be capable of professionally liaising and working with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation using different modes of communication in a technical and business context.
