Selection Criteria 

  1. Registered or eligible as a Medical Practitioner and Fellowship of a Critical Care College (Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care) or equivalent with current and ongoing clinical practice in that speciality field.
  2. Minimum 6 months 1.0FTE clinical experience in retrieval medicine.
  3. Retrieval experience in NSW
  4. Demonstrate experience in and ability with interpersonal communication and negotiation
  5. Willingness to participate in retrievals by helicopter, fixed wing aircraft and road ambulance should the need arise.
  6. Practical knowledge of the NSW Health System (especially the critical care system)
  7. Familiarity with the NSW major incident plan and system (Healthplan)
  8. Have current, or be about to commence, employment in primary area of speciality as a Consultant (Staff Specialist or VMO).
