ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate Director, Fixed Asset and Capital Accounting is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient financial management of the Capital Program across the organisation. The role will lead the end to end financial management of the organisation's Capital and Fixed Asset Program. The position is responsible for the identification, recording, valuation, accounting, reporting and timely capitalisation of capital projects, as well as the reconciliation and reporting of capital works in progress and to carry out revaluation and stocktake activities.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- A tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in Accounting, Business or Commerce, membership of a recognised accounting body (CA or CPA) with a minimum 5 years and high level understanding of general accounting standards and contemporary financial asset management issues within in a large enterprise or government environment and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Strong demonstrated experience in accounting and capitalisation of fixed assets
- Demonstrated end to end capital project management including stakeholder management of project managers, budgeting, reporting and asset capitalisation
- Demonstrated people management skills and working at a supervisory level in a large Organisation, including providing staff support, staff development, performance management and the early identification of unacceptable workplace behaviours and taking appropriate action such as investigation, resolution and monitoring of harassment and bullying, grievance issues and conflict resolution.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to interact effectively with staff, managers and external stakeholders. Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports, and high level management briefs.
