About the Opportunity:
In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the future of virtual healthcare and improving patient outcomes across NSW. As Project Manager – Virtual Clinical Care Centre (VCCC), you will:
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a key project that supports comprehensive secondary triage to reduce pressure on paramedics, control centres, and hospitals.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams - including paramedics, nurses, and doctors- as well as stakeholders across NSW Health, private contractors, and the community.
Promote and monitor strategies to strengthen stakeholder engagement and ensure the successful delivery of NSW Ambulance’s contribution to the Strategic Workforce Infrastructure Team (SWIFT) program.
Oversee all aspects of the program, ensuring it is delivered within agreed timeframes and budgets, while supporting the transformation of virtual healthcare delivery.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about improving healthcare delivery and thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. You will bring a blend of strategic thinking, operational insight, and strong interpersonal skills to successfully lead and support this program.
You have experience and/or training in a health-related field, with current knowledge or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of NSW Ambulance operations and the NSW health system.
You demonstrate expertise in program management, including implementing local or regional projects with statewide impact, participating in organisational change, and applying redesign methodology and training.
You excel at working in complex environments, engaging and influencing senior management and stakeholders to meet project needs effectively and on time.
You thrive on facilitating change, analysing data, managing rostering, and supporting operational staff, developing practical solutions while balancing competing priorities.
You are skilled in managing project scope, monitoring progress, and mitigating risks, with proven people management capabilities - including staff support, development, performance management, and resolving workplace issues such as bullying, grievances, and conflicts.
You possess high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare quality documentation, deliver presentations, facilitate workshops, and engage diverse audiences.
You are highly organised, capable of prioritising and multitasking in demanding environments, always maintaining a customer-focused approach.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
