The Multiple Sclerosis team at John Hunter Hospital, led by Professor Jeannette Lechner-Scott, is a highly regarded multidisciplinary group dedicated to improving outcomes for people living with neuro-immunological diseases. Working across John Hunter Hospital and the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), the team delivers excellence in clinical care and innovative research.
Our Clinical Trials Group is actively involved in multiple Phase II–IV international pharmaceutical trials and national collaborative research projects, supported by MRFF and industry funding. We are now seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our dedicated and collaborative team.
About The Role:
This part-time position plays a critical role in the delivery of high-quality clinical trial services to patients and research partners. You will coordinate participant visits and ensure all trial activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) and regulatory requirements.
Conduct study feasibility assessments, including contract and budget negotiations
Coordinate participant recruitment, screening, and study visits
Manage trial data in accordance with protocol and regulatory standards
Oversee specimen processing and shipment (training provided)
Support other trial coordinators and contribute to broader research activities
Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, ethics, and study protocols
About You:
You are an organised, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, research-focused environment. You will bring:
Previous experience in clinical trials or laboratory-based research
Strong working knowledge of ICH-GCP
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well-developed organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Confidence managing multiple studies and stakeholders simultaneously
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
