We have an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist who is passionate and experienced in rehabilitation and palliative care to join our team at Mona Vale Hospital (MVH). This is a temporary part-time role until 16th November 2026, with a likely extension.

Where you'll be working
In this role, you will be predominantly based at Mona Vale Hospital, however you may be required to work across other sites.
What you'll be doing
Within this role, you will be providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of communication and swallowing disorders for the general outpatient speech pathology service. You will also have the opportunity to cover our inpatient rehabilitation and palliative care services, as required. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting students and level ½ Speech Pathologists. As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will actively engage in service planning and evaluation and quality improvement activities to ensure the delivery of effective high-quality services.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Speech Pathologist or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.
- Ability to demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the management of adult communication and swallowing disorders, including video fluoroscopic swallowing studies and FEES. Certification for SPEAK OUT! is a requirement for this position.
