Michael J Cousins Pain Management and Research Centre, Royal North Shore Hospital, NSLHD.
As part of our multidisciplinary team you will conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments, within a biopsychosocial
framework and advise on management. You will work with the team to provide individual and group physiotherapy interventions in keeping with current evidence-based treatments for chronic and complex pain.
- Full registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and current AHPRA registration. Evidence of extensive clinical experience in the delivery of physiotherapy services for patients with complex chronic pain conditions at a minimum of a Level 2 Physiotherapist.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments, within a biopsychosocial framework, of patients referred to the MJC PMRC and advise on appropriate management as part of the multidisciplinary team with excellent organisational, time management and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in clinical practices as part of the multidisciplinary team in individual and group cognitive behavioural pain management programs, whilst implementing the physiotherapy and education components of the programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to apply evidence based psychological strategies to the application of the physiotherapy component of pain programs.
