What you'll be doing
In this role, you’ll deliver advanced physiotherapy assessment, treatment and ongoing management for patients with complex hand and upper limb conditions, including traumatic and post-operative presentations. Working autonomously within a specialised Hand Therapy and surgical multidisciplinary team, you’ll apply advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to optimise functional outcomes. You’ll collaborate closely with hand surgeons, nursing and allied health colleagues to provide coordinated, high-quality care, while actively engaging patients in goal setting, education and self-management. As a senior clinician, you’ll contribute to service development, clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, and provide supervision, mentoring and education to junior staff and students, supporting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in Physiotherapy and eligibility for Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Physiotherapist or equivalent in Hand Physiotherapy
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within scope, managing a complex hand and upper limb caseload, with the capacity to prioritise workload demands, apply advanced clinical reasoning skills and exercise independent professional judgement.
- Demonstrated advanced skills and knowledge in contemporary, evidence‑based physiotherapy practice, with specific experience in the assessment and management of hand and upper limb conditions.
