Where you'll be working
North Shore Community Health Centre and Top Ryde Community Health Centre. The role requires a flexible approach to service delivery, including the ability to work across multiple sites as required.

What you'll be doing
 The Senior Physiotherapist is a key member of the multidisciplinary Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Team, delivering comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and intervention to infants and children. The role supports children and their families to achieve optimal health, motor development, and participation in everyday activities through a family-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach.   
Reporting professionally and operationally to the CYF Physiotherapy Team Leader, the Senior Physiotherapist manages a complex caseload and contributes to coordinated, integrated care across the service system. As a senior clinician, the role provides clinical consultation, guidance, and mentorship to team members, and actively participates in multidisciplinary assessment, case discussion, and care planning. 
  
The role requires advanced clinical expertise in paediatric physiotherapy and experience working with children with developmental and physical support needs within a community health context. A high level of autonomy is expected, with responsibility for applying advanced clinical reasoning to the assessment, diagnosis, and management of children’s motor development and functional needs, including the interpretation and review of developmental profiles to inform goal-directed intervention. 
  
The Senior Physiotherapist facilitates timely referrals and supports effective service navigation for children requiring additional or specialist services, ensuring responsive, seamless, and family-centred care. 
In addition, the role contributes to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and workforce capability building within the Child and Family Health team.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  1. Must hold current registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA). A current and unrestricted NSW driver's licence (P2 licence acceptable).
  2. Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge of Paediatric Physiotherapy with evidence of extensive clinical experience as a Level 2 Physiotherapist or above and significant experience in intervention across a diverse range of paediatric diagnostic groups, including the specialty of child development. This includes working with clients who have complex social or health needs, including trauma-related experiences.
  3. Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, evidence of quality improvement and service evaluation skills and experience.
