Allied Health Professionals (Level 4) $63.81 - $65.36

Nurse Manager (Grade 2) $68.50 - $69.87 

Senior Clinical Psychologist: $72.98 - $77.16

Family and Carer Program team, MHDA Directorate. Northern Sydney Local Health District wide, with an expectation to attend each of the MHDA sites across NSLHD

What you'll be doing
The Senior Family Worker position has key responsibilities in striving to develop systems that work for all, that foster and support responding to the needs of individuals, family, carers, friends and community and implementing the key elements of recovery oriented practices and trauma sensitive approaches across clinical, specialist and support services. 

This position is integral to the Family and Carer Mental Health Program at MHDA, working closely with the Family and Carer Program Manager, providing leadership and supervision to the Family Work team and building capacity and capability for MHDA services in providing family inclusive care.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant clinical field, such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and relevant clinical experience. Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Psychologist, or eligibility for membership with the AASW. Allied Health Professionals require a recognised degree in Social Work, or Occupational Therapy as well as demonstrated extensive experience at a Level 2. Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist who has completed 9 years of service as a minimum or with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent accredited post-graduate Masters, Doctorate, or PhD degree in Clinical Psychology.
  2. Demonstrated extensive specialist knowledge and skill with regard to models and techniques to work effectively with families, in particular those experiencing crisis and complex issues associated with mental health challenges. This includes the ability to coach and provide a consultative role to clinical staff, provide clinical supervision, education, training and support.
  3. Ability to develop, monitor, achieve outcomes and report on strategic and business plans at both the Local Health District and NSW Health levels; and guide, engage and motivate all levels of health service staff, including the Executive, throughout this process.
