Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator (Health Service Manager Level 2). Manage a caseload of patients participating in Radiation Oncology Clinical Trials, including leadership and guidance in all aspects of clinical trial activity and high level mentoring of other staff.

Where you'll be working
NSLHD, RNS, Radiation Oncology

What you'll be doing 

  • The purpose of the senior clinical trials coordinator is to work in a team environment, managing a caseload of patients participating in Radiation Oncology Clinical Trials (including some which may involve medical oncology and or immunology) 
  • As this is a senior position in the team, it is expected that the senior clinical trials coordinator would manage some of the more complex studies within the unit. 
  • The role provides leadership and guidance in all aspects of clinical trial activity and a high level mentoring of other staff is required.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring research is conducted in accordance with the protocol policy, legislation, ethical requirements and guidelines for Good Clinical Practice to achieve high quality data for research.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Ability to manage complex multi-modality trials and prioritise work load to meet conflicting and critical deadlines.
  2. Previous experience in Clinical Trial Management and understanding of research methodologies.
  3. Experience in mentoring junior staff in all aspects of clinical trial activity and providing leadership and guidance at a high level.
