An exciting temporary role exists for am Enrolled Nurse (EN) with a strong interest in and commitment to mental health rehabilitation to join the very experienced and dedicated Rehabilitation Program Team at Macquarie Hospital.

Where you'll be working
Recreation Centre, Rehabilitation Program Team
What you'll be doing
You will be working rostered shifts including weekends. The will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides innovative and evidence based mental health rehabilitation across Macquarie Hospital. The role will focus on providing recreational and leisure based interventions to improve consumer’s recovery outcomes and contribute to the rehabilitation needs during their inpatient admission. This will include providing group based therapeutic interventions within in the hospital and the community.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Annual Registration – Enrolled Nurse Division 2.
- What experience do you have in facilitating or supporting recreational and leisure-based group activities for mental health consumers, either in hospital or community settings?
- This position requires rostered shift work including weekends, in accordance with the Enrolled Nurse Award. Are you able to commit to this requirement?.
How do you support consumer engagement and recovery through therapeutic interventions in a multidisciplinary team environment?
