Injury Management Department across NSLHD
What you'll be doing
The position is responsible and accountable for all aspects of Occupational Rehabilitation Case Management for injured workers, both work related and when required, non-work related. While ensuring compliance to current legislation and to NSW Health Policy Directives and NSLHD Procedures.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant health related discipline (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Rehabilitation Counselling) and/or demonstrated experience working as a Rehabilitation Consultant, including the provision of occupational rehabilitation case management, including injury management coordination, return to work planning, functional assessment, engagement with relevant stakeholders supported by relevant examples.
- Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, including the demonstrated ability to influence and drive return to work outcomes, through negotiation with key parties including injured workers, workplace managers and supervisors, treatment providers and Claims Manager
- Demonstrated experience in the coordination and management of complex injury management claims, including the development and implementation of a tailored return-to-work program that supports recovery and achieves successful, sustainable return to work outcomes, provide an example of an outcome achieved.
