The Day Surgery Unit is looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care through collaborative teamwork to deliver high-quality perioperative care.

Day Surgery Unit- Ryde Hospital
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team within a high-turnover day surgery environment.
Demonstrated understanding of day surgery workflows, including Preadmission clinic, patient admission, peri-operative care, recovery, and discharge.
Ability to recognise and appropriately escalate clinical deterioration, post-operative complications, and patient concerns in a timely manner.
