Nursing positions available within the dynamic, innovative Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Child & family Health Service. Role includes home visiting, providing child health checks, and facilitating groups. The successful applicant will be provided intensive mentoring and opportunity once established in the team to develop extended skills in areas such as project management, education and advanced clinical practice.

What you'll be doing
Registered Nurses with Child and Family Health qualifications. This is your opportunity to join a dynamic busy well-resourced Community based Child and Family Health team working with families with children from newborn to 5 years of age. Role includes home visiting, breastfeeding clinics, facilitating groups, anticipatory guidance, and health education to promote optimum development of children, supporting vulnerable families and parents with postnatal depression and anxiety. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Current drivers licence recognised in NSW.
  2. Recognised post graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health or equivalent experience.
  3. Ability to demonstrate counselling skills, group facilitation skills and working in partnership with families.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues and other professionals both verbal and written.
