Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital (HKH) Perioperative Services is seeking Registered Nurses with a keen interest in providing outstanding nursing care throughout the perioperative journey of patients undergoing general anaesthesia.

Where you’ll be working:
HKH - The Operating Theatres and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit is a fast-paced environment where time management, effective communication and collaborative teamwork is fundamental in providing high quality patient care.
What you’ll be doing:
Our Registered Nurses are an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to patients during their perioperative experience. Within the operating theatre you will be assisting anaesthetists in caring for paediatric and adult patients undergoing sedation or general anaesthesia. Within the post anaesthetic care unit, you will be working amongst an inclusive and friendly team of nurses to deliver critical care to patients immediately after surgery or invasive procedures.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
