Ryde Hospital is undergoing major redevelopment and we are looking for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional care to patients on a temporary full time basis.

Where you'll be working
The Assessment Planning Unit/Ward 8 at Ryde Hospital is a 16 bed acute medical ward with ten telemetry beds, two acute stroke beds and a negative pressure room. The primary role of the ward is to assess acute medical admissions from ED. In collaboration with the patient, our multidisciplinary team will develop the best plan for their health care journey.
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
At Ryde we are known for exceptional care delivered by all members of the multidisciplinary team. You will be working with a dynamic and enthusiastic team of nurses, doctors, allied health, and support personnel, who all strive to provide excellent person-centred care for their patients and support for their care givers.
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of Ryde Hospital consistent with Northern Sydney Local Health District policies, procedures and guidelines, in line with the NMBA Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
