The Medical Assessment Unit at Hornsby Ku ring gai Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Registered Nurses with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital’s Medical Assessment Unit is a 12-bed general medical assessment unit located on Level 1 C. The ward caters for acute general medical patients, some of which will require cardiac monitoring. The Unit offers supported learning and professional development with a rotating roster including weekends and night shifts.
As a Registered Nurse applicant you will be working in a busy ward environment, caring for adult patients with a wide spectrum of medical conditions. You will be working within an amazing team of health professionals, all working as a multi disciplinary team to provide the best health care for our community. The ward has a high patient turnover. The preferred candidate should have knowledge of cardiac monitoring/ telemetry and sound assessment skills and communication skills. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
