Medical Imaging, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital
What you'll be doing
This role is responsible for the performance of complex clinical procedures within the specialist modality (Ultrasound) with a high degree of competency and associated tasks, i ncluding day-to- day management of patient care, patient scheduling as well as training of sonographers and student sonographers this all in a quality framework.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Hold current AHPRA registration to work as a Radiographer, with the MRPB of Australia and hold a current NSW EPA I-14 Radiation Licence. Or ASAR accredited Medical Sonographer with a post graduate degree in Sonography, or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent by the employer and performs Cardiac Sonography or Electrophysiological Studies (EPS).
- Proven knowledge of the majority of current ultrasound examinations, ability to teach, supervise and evaluate performance.
Excellent communication skills with a strong patient care focus. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
