Where you'll be working

 
Northern Beaches Hospital, Interventional Suite. Comprising of 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres, including a Hybrid Theatre, alongside 2 Cardiac Catheter Laboratories, 4 Procedure Rooms, a 41-bed Recovery Unit, Anaesthetic Services, and a contemporary Sterilising Services Department.

What you'll be doing
As the Nurse Unit Manager – Anaesthetic Services, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership to ensure the efficient and effective coordination of services, supporting optimal theatre utilisation and patient flow. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and anaesthetists, you will ensure the delivery of timely, safe, and high-quality care through a visible, hands-on leadership approach.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Nurse – Division 1 with AHPRA registration and relevant management qualifications or equivalent experience, with a demonstrated commitment to professional development in perioperative services, specifically anaesthetics. Minimum 3 years’ experience in perioperative anaesthetic services is essential.
  2. Demonstrated clinical experience working within a complex perioperative environment with 10 or more operating theatres undertaking complex surgical procedures.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and support staff within a perioperative services environment, promoting a collaborative and patient-focused team culture.
  4. Demonstrated effective communication, organisational, and operational management skills, including experience with clinical governance, quality improvement, roster management systems, and electronic medical records.
