NSLHD - Visiting Medical Officer - Palliative Medicine or General Practice - Adolescent & Young Adult Hospice - Mona Vale
Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FRACP) or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 3 months may be considered.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Experience in Palliative Medicine and clinical experience in managing adolescent and young adult patients.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality compassionate medical care as evidenced by recent practice experience in working congenially and collaboratively as both a leader and member of a multidisciplinary team and as a provider of services that engender high levels of patient satisfaction and experience.
- Experience in quality and safety and clinical governance. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Ability to work independently within a supervised complex multidisciplinary clinical environment utilising judgment and expertise.
- Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, teamwork and computer skills.
