Selection Criteria

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and/or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine or recognition as a specialist by Medical Board of Australia.
2. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
3. Demonstrated interest in treating people with serious mental illness and working within a team to promote rehabilitation, recovery and wellbeing through the provision of general medical practitioner services.
4. Demonstrated capacity to provide effective clinical leadership within multidisciplinary teams.
5. Communication skills of a high order, including those of negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution.
6. Proven high performance as an experienced clinician and provide leadership and support to junior medical staff and participate in regular doctors' meetings.
7. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2007 and the Guardianship Act, its application and commitment to State, National and Local Mental Health policy.
8. NSW Drivers Licence and the ability to drive.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy

All NSW Health workers are required to have two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as defined by NSW Health.  Employees working in a clinical area or are required to attend clinical areas are considered category A. Category A positions are required to provide evidence of having received three doses of COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (TGA) and meet the requirements of the Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive.

 Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate
