For Pharmacists with extensive and varied post graduate clinical experience, looking to progress to a governance role, the NSLHD Medication Safety Improvement Facilitator role will draw on your communication, consultation, negotiation, facilitation, presentation, and consensus building skills.

What you'll be doing
The Medication Safety Improvement Facilitator is responsible for providing leadership for quality medicines governance, resulting in safe, appropriate, cost-effective and evidence-based use of medicines in NSLHD.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. A bachelor or post graduate degree in Pharmacy with eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA). Recent, extensive and varied post graduate clinical experience as a Hospital Pharmacist (minimum 3 years)
  2. Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, consultation, negotiation, facilitation, presentation, consensus building and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated sound computer literacy and ability to confidently use health information systems.
  3. Extensive experience and knowledge of medicines governance and medication management systems, including legislation, NSW public hospital systems, NSW Health policies, Australian National Healthcare Standards and applicable other standards/guides..
