What you'll be doing
This role is responsible for the performance of complex clinical procedures within the specialist modality with a high degree of competency and completion of associated tasks.
The Section Senior will manage the operations of a modality within the Medical Imaging department, including day-to-day management, throughput and patient care, patient scheduling as well as immediate staffing, and training of radiographers and student radiographers.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration to work as a Radiographer, with the MRPB of Australia and current NSW EPA I-14 Radiation Licence, Post graduate studies in area of specialisation.
- Extensive clinical experience in MRI and MRI safety.
- Evidence of well-developed and empowering leadership skills, motivation and advocacy with sound ability in conflict resolution and staff performance management, with flexible, empathic and perceptive interpersonal and staff liaison skills.
- Well-developed communication skills, with exceptional team building expertise, liaison and negotiation skills and ability and experience in applying change management strategies.
