Where you'll be working

Hospital in the Home (HITH) team is located across our Northern Sydney Local Health District and this role will be located on the Royal North Shore Hospital Campus.

What you'll be doing
Using the HITH model of care to provide a framework for acute care, delivered at home. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team that includes nursing, medical, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy and social workers.


People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2. A current NSW Drivers licence. 
  2. Demonstrate your understanding of the HITH model of care and how your role as an occupational therapist works collaboratively with the members of the multidisciplinary team.
  3. Explain the key considerations for an occupational therapist delivering acute care in the home and who would be the key stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in working autonomously with limited supervision and the ability to prioritise work, managing a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
