What you'll be doing
The Financial Controller has overall responsibility and accountability for the provision of finance, business and analysis functions for the Royal North Shore Hospital. This includes the provision and oversight of the hospitals' finance & business management, accounting, performance monitoring and service planning. The position will also support District Finance and Corporate Service functions. The position leads and influences staff at a facility and district level to make sustainable change and to improve overall organisational performance. Leading and Directing change is key to this position.


People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be CPA qualified or equivalent and be a current member of a recognised Australian professional accounting body.
  2. Executive level experience in management accounting including the development of financial budgets, reporting, monitoring and experience in business case development.
  3. Demonstrated understanding and ability to utilise health data systems used in NSW particularly those related to costing and patient care. This includes the ability to analyse data to aid decision making for both financial and non-financial KPI’s.
