Hornsby Hospital’s Acute General Surgical ward provides an environment where you can enhance your clinical skills to develop and strengthen expertise in various clinical procedures. Where you’ll be working: 

 
Our Acute General Surgical ward is a 28 bedded unit consisting of general surgical, gynaecological, vascular, and plastic surgeries. You will be working as part of a hardworking, dedicated, and friendly surgical multi-disciplinary team.

What you’ll be doing: 
The enrolled nurse applicant will be working in a busy, fast paced ward environment, caring for adult patients with a wide range of surgical presentations. This is a challenging and rewarding role supported by a structured training pathway designed by the Clinical Nurse Educator & Clinical Nurse Consultant.


People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  3. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Basic computer skills.
