Where you'll be working
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
The Enrolled Nurse (EN) supports the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care in the fast-paced Emergency Department, working under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The EN assists in organising and providing delegated clinical care, contributes to patient safety and quality initiatives, and may provide service relief across NSLHD facilities as required.
The EN maintains current clinical knowledge, completes mandatory training, and upholds professional standards and safe work practices. The role also supports education for students and staff, helps maintain clinical supplies, and manages competing priorities while accurately documenting care and respecting patient choice within the established plan of care.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrate these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, with acute hospital experience, preferably within an Emergency Department or similar high acuity department
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, managing competing priorities and unpredictable workloads.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear, timely and professional communication in urgent and complex clinical situations
