Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital
What you'll be doing As an Enrolled Nurse applicant you will be working in a busy Emergency Department, caring for Adult and Paediatric patients across a wide spectrum of trauma, surgical, medical and mental health presentations. This is a challenging and rewarding role supported by a structured training pathway designed on an individual basis by the ED CNE. The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within professional role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. In the delivery of nursing care the Enrolled Nurse will work under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills.
