Where you’ll be working :

 
 Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Day Surgery Unit is seeking an Enrolled Nurse with a keen interest in providing outstanding nursing care in our Day Surgery Unit.T he Day Surgery Unit is a fast-paced environment where time management, effective communication and collaborative teamwork is fundamental in providing high quality patient care.

What you’ll be doing:

Our Enrolled Nurses are an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to patients during their perioperative experience. Within the operating theatre you will be assisting anaesthetists in caring for paediatric and adult patients undergoing sedation or general anaesthesia. Within the post anaesthetic care unit, you will be working amongst an inclusive and friendly team of nurses to deliver critical care to patients immediately after surgery or invasive procedures.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  3. Previous experience in Endoscopy and or Day Surgery unit.
  4. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Basic computer skills.
