Ryde Hospital, Executive Unit

Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.

The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.

Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.

What you'll be doing
The purpose of the Manager Clinical Redesign and Innovation role is to lead the clinical and cultural improvement program at Ryde Hospital, which strives to meet the Triple AIM of Health, namely: Improved Patient Experience, Reduced Costs and Better Health Outcomes across the population. 
  
This position is part of the Ryde Hospital Executive and has Executive on-call responsibilities. 
  
This role will lead the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of a range of improvement initiatives including those projects which are aligned to the Ryde Hospital Operational Plan, projects which form part of the Leading Better Care initiatives and those as part of the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment. 

The Manager Clinical Redesign and Innovation leads a proactive patient and clinician-driven approach to improving healthcare using a range of improvement methodologies. The position increases the facility’s capacity for structured system improvement and redesign, supports related skills development and fosters a culture embedding improvement into clinical practice, defining Models of Care for the future.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

 Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field (or equivalent practical experience) with demonstrated operational and strategic knowledge and experience of the health system.
  2. Demonstrated skill and experience in project management, improvement and change management.
  3. Demonstrated superior detailed knowledge of clinical redesign and familiarity with other improvement methodologies that can be used to implement change.
  4. Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills with experience in the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and an ability to critically review published material to inform decision making.
