The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Child and Family health Service provides a range of integrated services in the Hornsby Hospital and the community. The clinical psychologist is part of a multidisciplinary team who provide care for women and their families who require additional support and intervention during the antenatal period and/or up until their infant/s are two years of age.
Working with the multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other service providers, the Clinical Psychologist provides evidence based psychological assessment, and psychological treatment through individual, family parenting, and group treatment programs. The Clinical Psychologist also supports other clinical staff through the provision of clinical consultation.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for the provision of psychological services to patients of NSLHD.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, relevant clinical area in psychology.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy.
  3. Demonstrated skills in working with families in ihe perinatal period.
