An exciting opportunity exists for suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) with experience in and commitment to sexual health and HIV nursing to join a dedicated and innovative multidisciplinary Sexual Health Service.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) provides high quality expert clinical care and leadership through a co-ordinated, proactive approach that targets the complex health care needs of clients with Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) attending Clinic 16's services. 

CNS2 will act as a professional role model, client advocate and participate in Quality and Safety Activities to provide evidence based care that supports the current strategies aimed at reducing STI/HIV transmission.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria

  1. Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with relevant post registration qualifications applicable to Sexual Health with at least 3 years recent full time equivalent Sexual Health (including HIV) clinical experience or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
  2. Evidence of advanced clinical practice and ability to exercise extended autonomy in caring for patients with STI's including demonstrated contribution to the development of clinical processes relating to sexual health and HIV.
  3. Demonstrated advanced leadership, clinical education skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, quality care and team cohesion.
  4. Evidence of personal time management capability, ability to prioritise and effective negotiation skills.
