Join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team as a Temporary Part-Time Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and help develop the next generation of critical care nurses.

Royal North Shore Hospital's ICU is configured into four specialty pods, providing care across a wide range of complex clinical areas including cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, burns, acute spinal cord injuries, haematology and complex general surgery. As an ECMO service and accredited trauma centre, the unit offers a unique learning environment where nurses can develop expertise across multiple critical care specialties.
The ICU has a strong culture of education, innovation and professional development. Working alongside experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Nurse Practitioners and fellow educators, you will support a highly skilled nursing workforce committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and senior nursing staff to coordinate, develop and deliver education and professional development programs for ICU nursing staff. You will provide orientation, clinical teaching, competency assessment, skills accreditation and ongoing support to nurses at all stages of their critical care journey.
You will also contribute to mandatory training, postgraduate education, simulation activities and the delivery of evidence-based education programs, helping to foster a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence within one of Australia's leading tertiary Intensive Care Units.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse AND holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
- Extensive intensive care experience in a tertiary hospital.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to practice safe nursing care and knowledge of policies and clinical practice guidelines.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and risk management.
