Join Macquarie Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) as the Clinical Access and Demand Contact, across a large Mental Health Rehabilitative Facility. You will lead Best Practice around Patient Flow on site in conjunction with Acute Mental Health Facilities within NSLHD.

What you'll be doing
The position will provide consultation and advanced clinical assessment of consumers that are referred from Acute Mental Health Services to non-acute mental health rehabilitation services located on the Macquarie Hospital site. The position is critical to supporting non-acute patient flow across Mental health Services and partners and working with multidisciplinary teams, consumers and families to provide evidence based consumer recovery.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum five years full time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in the specialty of mental health nursing. In addition, the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or considerable evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.
- Comprehensive and extensive mental health clinical assessment skills, with the ability to complete this as part of an Multi-Disciplinary Team or independently.
- Expert interpersonal communication, written and verbal with stakeholders from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
- The ability to manage complex negotiations with a wide variety of stakeholders, occasionally under a time pressure.
