What you'll be doing
As Chief Pharmacist, you will:
• Provide strategic leadership and management of pharmacy services across Macquarie Hospital.
• Lead a high-performing team committed to delivering safe, effective, and consumer-centred care.
• Oversee medication safety programs and ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
• Drive formulary management, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage pharmaceutical expenditure and support sustainable service delivery.
• Contribute to organisational planning, innovation, and service development.
• Foster partnerships with clinicians, consumers, carers, and key stakeholders to improve clinical outcomes.
As Chief Pharmacist, you will:

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration).
- Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice in a major teaching hospital.
Demonstrated leadership in promoting safety, quality improvement and best practice.
