Ryde Hospital Surgical and Orthopaedic Ward

What you'll be doing
As an Assistant in Nursing within the Surgical/Orthopaedic Ward, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patient recovery and wellbeing during their stay. Working alongside a dedicated nursing team, you’ll provide hands-on care, ensure a safe and comfortable environment, and contribute to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).
  2. Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Demonstrated teamwork skills with the ability to adapt, prioritise and perform effectively in a busy clinical setting with competing demands.
