Hornsby Hospital Speech Pathology Department is seeking a Level 1/2 Speech Pathologist interested in gaining experience across inpatient acute, rehabilitation and outpatient services. This recruitment will be used for a second impending vacancy.

Hornsby Hospital- Speech Pathology Department
What you'll be doing
This position is part of a dynamic and fun Speech Pathology service and provides assessment and management of communication and swallowing to inpatients in the acute and rehabilitation settings, as well as outpatients. The case mix is dependent on the vacant rotations, which are currently inpatient Neurology/Stroke Unit and Neuro Outpatients or General Acute and Outpatients. Both are busy and interesting caseloads with the time to provide high quality and evidence-based services. You will be able to work towards instrumental competencies (VFSS & FEES) and have access to excellent equipment and resources.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience in the management of an adult caseload in acute hospital, rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
Demonstrated high level of communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute positively to a team.
