In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care to both inpatients and outpatients and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes for patients and their families.
As a Senior Dietitian, you will exercise advanced reasoning and autonomous decision-making in managing complex clinical cases while also supporting the professional development of others. This includes supervising junior Dietitians, supporting staff education, and assisting with student placements.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia
- Up-to-date knowledge, skills and competence in the nutritional management of patients with cancer and in the palliative setting.
- Extensive experience in the nutritional management of complex oncology, haematology and palliative patients in the outpatient and the inpatient setting.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and teaching skills. Including well developed skills in clinical supervision and student teaching and training.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a specialised multidisciplinary team that provides services to oncology, haematology and palliative patients.
- Experience in providing clinical supervision to dietitians, dietitian assistants and students.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and experience with initiating and leading quality improvement projects. With professional development and quality projects specific to oncology/ haematology/ palliative care an advantage.
- Current driver’s licence (P2 Licence Acceptable). Willingness to use for work purposes and may include driving long distances across the LHD.
