If you are looking for a rotational position this opportunity is for you. This position joins a well-established Occupational Therapy service with rotations to inpatient rehabilitation, day rehabilitation and acute inpatients (general medicine, orthopaedics and stroke, intensive care), with the possibility of future rotation to community services. The service has a strong foundation of quality improvement initiatives, research participation, professional development and interdisciplinary team working. With the current Ryde hospital redevelopment underway, this is an exciting time to join the Occupational Therapy team as we expand and develop to support the future clinical requirements in a new hospital.

Where you'll be working
Occupational Therapy service at Ryde hospital.
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
To provide a high level of occupational therapy services to patients and clients.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria.
- Proven ability to exercise professional judgement commensurate with years of experience and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and inter-agency networks.
- Demonstrate skills, knowledge and clinical reasoning in the provision of Occupational Therapy to consumers, carers and families including assessment and interventions such as evaluation of functional performance, environmental or home modifications, education and retraining, onward referrals and discharge planning.
- Commitment to participation in professional development, quality improvement activities and workplace education.
