The Nurse Unit Manager Level 3 (NUM3) will provide leadership, management and accountability for staff within the portfolio and will ensure clinical practice is consistent and in accordance with evidenced based practice.

Acute Care Team and PACER at Hornsby Ku-Ring Gai Hospital
What you'll be doing
The NUM 3 will provide leadership, management and accountability for staff within the portfolio and will ensure clinical practice is consistent and in accordance with evidenced based practice.
The incumbent will play a central role in the operational management of acute mental health service delivery including the ACT and PACER and ensure timely, appropriate and flexible high quality care is provided.
The incumbent will participate in strategic business, operational planning and maintain networks/relationships with internal and external agencies, including Community Managed Organisations, General Practitioners, Department of Housing, Police and other relevant agencies in the effective and efficient operations of the ACT and PACER teams.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and relevant management tertiary qualification of equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience and demonstrated commitment to professional development and Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Extensive and recent post registration clinical experience in both community and inpatient acute settings and have knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, support and value the contribution of a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated effective leadership and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and/ or experience in change management and initiating service delivery models with an established service.
- Evidence and commitment to patient/customer focused care , clinical governance and quality improvement
