The Director, Nursing and Midwifery (DoNM) Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is a senior member of the RNSH Executive, and as such participates in all decisions and accountabilities regarding the management of the Hospital.

What you'll be doing
The Director, Nursing and Midwifery (DoNM) RNSH is a senior member of the RNSH Executive, and as such participates in all decisions and accountabilities regarding the management of the Hospital.
The DoNM has primary responsibility for:-
- Professional nursing and midwifery matters at RNSH
- Nursing Clinical Resources
- Patient Flow
- Falls
- Wound Management
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Counter Disaster
- Nursing and Midwifery Education and Training
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and "Authority to Practice" and post graduate qualifications at a Masters level relevant to the position or equivalent experience.
- Broad clinical experience and nursing/ midwifery management expertise at a senior level within a hospital setting, including proven experience in successfully planning and achieving financial, services, operational, workforce and strategic outcomes, incorporating current health service governance, continuous improvement and patient safety focuses.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills of a high order including the ability to communicate effectively (using verbal, written and information technology media) with a wide range of stakeholders including patients, public, NSW Health and government representatives and conduct complex negotiations.
